“Volunteering for paws has given me a purpose for good. It’s fulfilling to be helping a greater cause in such a fun way. I have gained a better understanding and respect for the efforts that go into training dogs as well as the importance of this service. It brings me joy to be giving back to my community in such an impactful way”

“We have been AZ Power Paws volunteers now for 4+ years. Our first 3 canine companions (Taylor, Vail and Aztec) have been placed and we are now working with our 4th, Jami. We have been blessed to read a first-hand description of how Taylor changed a family’s life. Knowing that we have assisted in these dog’s developments for each to reach their potential is rewarding beyond words. The biggest challenge, and reward, for us occurs the day we give up the dog to its new owner. We are saddened to lose our much loved companion and heart-warmed to know that they will be enhancing another life in ways that we can’t begin to comprehend. Getting so close to these dogs enables us to know what a wonderful gift they will be to their recipient. We often think about all of them and give thanks for the happiness they have brought to our lives.”
